Seattle Supercross Report

Monster Energy AMA Supercross made it's way back to the West Coast Series this past weekend with racing resuming for the Lites Championship hunt in Seattle WA. Vans Monster Energy Procircuit rider Jake Weimer and teammate Josh Hansen had their work cut out for the evenings event. Both Jake and Josh commented on how this was the roughest Supercross track that they had both ridden in their racing careers usually rain is the corporate, but not for this year's event as the skies stayed blue all day in Seattle. Once all was said and done, Weimer still holds onto the points lead finishing a hard fought 3rd place! Hansen finished the evenings West Coast Lites Class with a 6th place.
Stay tuned for next weekends race to take place in Salt Lake City, Utah where Jake Weimer is looking to go after his first Championship!

Christophe Pourcel on Top

The newest AMA Supercross East Lites Champion and Vans Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Christophe Pourcel, jumps onto the cover and into the pages of the June issue of Racer X. Look out for Pourcel competing in Vegas for the World Championship and Region Shootout, East vs. West. Congrats on your title and good luck in Vegas buddy!

St. Louis SX Report

St. Louis marked the last race for the Lites East Coast Series. With that said, Vans Monster Energy Pro Circuit rider Dean Wilson scored his best SX finish to date with a second place in the evenings event! Dean Wilson has proved that he has the skills to ride up front with the best of them. Make sure to keep your eyes on Dean in just a few short weeks when the East/West Lites Shootout takes place. Wilson's teammate Pourcel had put a wrap on the championship one week early, so St. Louis was really just about having fun for him. Unfortunately with a bad start in the main, Pourcel was pushed off the track and stuck on some tough blocks not able to get off the block until one lap had been down. Pourcel rode a few laps but then decided that it was best to pull of the track and head back for the pits.

Pourcel Named East Coast Lites Champion

Vans Supercross athlete Christophe Pourcel captures his second East Coast Lites Championship! Pourcel wraps up the East Lites Title early in the Lone Star state of Houston, Texas. Christophe won his heat race with ease carrying his speed into the nights main event capturing his six win of the season and his second Lites Championship! Stay tuned for next week's race in St. Louis as Pourcel might have a surprise up his sleeve!

Vans Monster Energy Pro Circuit rider Dean Wilson made his comeback race this weekend in Houston while just missing out on the podium from a unfortunate crash on the last lap of the main event landing him in 9th place for the evening. Wilson is looking forward to racing next weekend in St. Louis so he can capture his second podium of the season.

Vans Monster Energy Factory Kawasaki athlete Ryan Villopoto captured his seventh win of the season and closed up the points gap by 12 points over 1st place Ryan Dungey. Villopoto was able to nail the start and continued to lead all 20 laps of the nights main event for the checkers! Let's all hope that Ryan can continue this streak for the last four remaining races left in the series to bring home the title in Las Vegas!

Orange, CA Vans Camp this Weekend!

Vans Kawasaki Pro Circuit Athletes Josh Hansen and Jake Weimer will be heading to The Vans BMX Camp this Friday and Saturday to hang out and sign autographs! Hanny's been trying to learn a few new BMX tricks and is looking fwd with hanging with a few of Vans elite BMX riders this Friday April 9th at the Orange, CA Vans Skatepark! Teammate Jake Weimer is also planning on coming for the Saturday session April 10th for some BMX fun as well if your in the area be sure to stop by and check it out!

Ryan Villopoto Checking out Orlando Vans Store

One of Florida's newest residence and VANS MOTO Team Athlete Ryan Villopoto will be heading to the Orlando VANS Skatepark Friday April 2nd @ 1pm to hang with BMX Team Riders Chase Hawk, Cory Nastazio, Ryan Guettler and Jerry Badders for the first BMX Pro Camp! Villopoto will be on hand to say hello and sign autograph's!
