Washougal Race Report

This past weekends Lucas Oil Motocross Championships took the Vans Moto crew to beautiful Washougal, Washington where Vans Monster Energy Kawasaki athlete Christophe Pourcel motored his way to 2nd overall still hanging on to his series points lead for the championship! Followed behind Pourcel was Vans Monster Energy Kawasaki teammate Tyla Rattray taking the third position on the podium. Both Pourcel and and Rattray said it was all about grabbing a start here at Washougal as the track becomes very tough to pass on with all the hills and tight corners but it was one of the coolest tracks on the circuit!

X Games 16 is Coming at You Next Week

Can you believe it's been 16 years since the X Games started? This year marks it's seventh consecutive year the event will take place in Los Angeles. Starting Thursday, July 29 - Sunday, August 1, more than 200 of the best action sports athletes in the world will compete in Skate, BMX, Moto and Rally competition. If you can't join us in LA, ESPN has you covered with 30 plus hours of HD programming over the course of the event. Hold your breath, because it will be here before you can say X Games.

Seventh Round of the Outdoor Series

The Vans Moto team headed to Millville, Minnesota this past weekend for the seventh round of the Lucas Oil Rock Star Energy Motocross Outdoor Series. Vans Monster Energy Pro Circuit rider Dean Wilson took second place on the podium followed close behind was Vans teammate Tyla Rattray rounding out the third and last spot on the podium for the weekends race. Both Wilson and Rattray said that the track was one of the best of the series so far. But once the rain storm came halfway through the 2nd moto, the guys had their work cut out for them as the track went from having tons of traction to a slippery mess with no traction. Vans Monster Energy Pro Circuit team member Jake Weimer also showed improvements this weekend just missing the podium with a solid 4th place finish with teammate Christophe Pourcel following close with the fifth spot for the day!
