Vans Moto athlete Martin Davalos arrived in Phoenix with a heat race win under his belt and an eye for redemption after a first-turn pileup plagued his chances for a podium finish last weekend at Anaheim.
After showing consistent speed during practice at Phoenix, he lined up for his heat race with the hopes of once again nabbing the win. Unfortunately, he was involved in a stunning crash that forced him to earn his spot in the 250SX West Main Event via the Last Chance Qualifier. Davalos regrouped, lined up for the Main Event, and piloted his Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki machine to a third place finish. This is Davalos’ first 250SX West Main Event podium finish this season. He is currently ninth in 250SX West point standings.
